Charlotte, N.C. – Verian is helping CHESS, a population health management company based in High Point, N.C., put the “we” in eProcurement – a WeProcurement approach – by enactchess logoing
a more collaborative, bottom-up style of managing costs through its cloud procurement software. CHESS decided to join the Verian cloud after seeing how WeProcurement could engage and benefit their employees with a streamlined process for ordering goods and services.

Giving people across the organization a system that makes it easier to buy smarter in the normal course of their work, CHESS will no longer have to mandate policies from the top-down. Employees will be encouraged to use the system through significant efficiency gains and more flexibility.

Mobile procurement capabilities and user-centered functionality will meet the unique needs of employees by

  • Providing information at the time they are placing requests, without making them go look for it
  • Allowing orders to be customized to meet their specific requirements
  • Removing complexity to make the buying process simple and save time.

CHESS is also replacing an outdated multi-system workflow for invoice processing so that the organization can manage the entire Purchase-to-Pay cycle in one single system, and integrating with their Sage ERP 500 accounting system for a seamless exchange of information. The organization will be using Verian’s spend management solution for analytics and performance metrics to track progress towards costs savings and efficiency goals.

CHESS enables medical groups, hospital systems and ACOs to successfully move to a value-based model of care delivery. CHESS will initially roll out the WeProcurement system at its largest group practice client, Cornerstone Health Care, a group of more than 300 physicians and advanced practice providers representing a wide range of specialties.
